Jack Malik is a struggling singer-songwriter in a tiny English seaside town whose dreams of fame are rapidly fading, despite the devotion and support of his childhood best friend, Ellie. Then, after a freak bus accident during a mysterious global blackout, Jack wakes up to discover that The Beatles have never existed. As the only person to remember the Beatles, he decides to claim their classic songs as his own, but his rapid rise to fame might have devastating consequences for his relationships.

Lily James (Mamma Mia 2, Darkest Hour, Guernsey Literary Soc., and Downton Abbey), and Himesh Patel (Damned, Eastenders) star, with Sanjeev Bhaskar and Meera Syal as Jack’s parents, whilst singer Ed Sheeran plays himself. Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting) directs and Richard Curtis, (screenwriter of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Love Actually), is the writer of this comedy about music, dreams, friendship, and the long and winding road that leads to love.
