The much-loved TV show moves to the big screen for reputedly the last ever visit to the stately home , As usual, the Earl of Grantham, his wife, his mother, daughters, the rest of the Crawley family and their staff are never far from drama – especially when unexpected news reaches Downton that the King and Queen are coming to stay.
The normal cast of family members and downstairs staff are all there, with Imelda Staunton, Tuppence Middleton and Geraldine James joining the group for the first time.
