This group is aimed at both new and experienced walkers, and we offer easy, medium and long walks. We will walk each Thursday and will offer a different walk each week.
We have walked in this area for twelve years, and started this group four years ago. We offer a choice of 40 different walks. These include coastal, valley and hill walks.
It is difficult to explain to anyone who has not walked locally what we mean by easy and moderate. So we grade our walks by the length of time it take to complete them
- A short walk is 4.5 to 5 hours
- A medium walk is 5 to 5.5 hours
- A long walk is 5.5 to 6 hours
All of our walks are done at a moderate pace, and should be suitable for anyone who is moderately fit. Most tracks are rough, so walking boots are essential and walking sticks recommended.
We publish a blog of each walk with a written description and photographs. This will give you a very good idea of what the walks are like. You can find it here
