Shopping Expedition to Murcia
On December 5th a coach-load of U3A VdP members set off on a very successful and enjoyable Christmas Shopping jolly to Murcia, where IKEA and the Nueva Condominia Centro Commercial were their targets. The weather was warm as a summer’s day in the UK making it so very pleasant to walk around in.
Some members decided to spend their whole day shopping till they dropped in the Condominia shopping centre whilst others went over to Ikea, not least to lunch on their famous meatballs! Others enjoyed a leisurely lunch with wine in one of the many
restaurant outlets in the centre.
Judging by the coach luggage area being completely filled with purchases on the way home it had proved a great day, with Primark being a firm favourite for quality and price. On the way back to Jalon, they had a raffle with prize winners receiving either
Celebrations or Quality Street sweets, with many also taking a well-earned snooze.
Watch this space, as the TCET are being requested to organise next year’s Christmas trip, with La Zenia possibly an option, but I am sure there will be other shopping trips during 2019 prior to another Christmas Shopping event.
