On Easter Monday Sally and Peter Ellis and Marian White kindly delivered a large donation of food and drink goodies to the volunteer bomberos based in Castell de Castells.
These were bought on members´ behalf from Goodwill funds to thank the Bomberos for keeping us safe, particularly in times of forest fires.
I think we would all agree they do a heroic job and provide an invaluable service. Those of you who were at the GA in April heard Don Henderson from Euro Goat Trekkers describe being right in the midst of the Tarbena wildfire 2 years ago and having to run for his life while the bomberos stayed to carry on fighting the fire which was raging all around them.
A small gesture of thanks from us but very much appreciated by the crew there.
It didn’t take much persuading for Sally and Marian to deliver the gifts. I wonder why?
