What a wonderful summer party we had on Thursday 18th June in Murla with the fabulous Entertainers performing for us.
Members arrived to a beautifully decorated Polivalent with pretty tablecloths, chair covers and sashes, lovely floral arrangements on the tables with twinkling lights, bunting and lit lanterns. The Goodwill team had once again worked their magic to make it look special and the air conditioning kept it beautifully cool on a warm evening.
Members brought their own picnics and enjoyed a 1 euro bar.
Once the room was full The Entertainers took to the stage and gave the most spectacular performance of almost 3 hours of well known, popular songs. The first set was deliberately slower whilst people ate and chatted, then the pace picked up and the dance floor was full with most people cutting some moves! It was lovely to see so many people dancing the night away.
The repertoire of songs was excellent and there was lots to sing along to. As usual Abba was a winner and Linda´s rendition of Bridge over Troubled Water was spine chilling. They really do give a fabulous performance and we are so grateful to all the group for giving up their time for our Goodwill charities.
If you missed them you have a chance to see them at our December GA Christmas party when they will be performing their Christmas repertoire for us which is always wonderfully festive. We thought it would be nice to do something different for our Christmas meeting and we hope members will enjoy it.
Guests were very generous in supporting the raffle and we are delighted to announce we made an incredible 1120 euros which will be shared with local charities at the end of the year.
A huge thank you to everyone who came, who helped make it happen and, of course, to The Entertainers. Another wonderful evening for our members.
