Day Trip to Xativa and Gandia
This day trip is a great opportunity to visit
Xativa and Gandia.
Cost 21€
After leaving Jalon Rastro Carpark at 9;00 we should arrive in Xativa at around 10;30… just in time for our early morning coffee.
Once there you will have some free time to explore this lovely town. At 12:30 we will take the train to the Castle with a tour of the old town on the way.
The importance of Xativa Castle lies in its superb location. An exceptional strategic position from which a long stretch of the Via Augusta was controlled. An important Roman road that ran from Rome to the south of Spain bordering the Mediterranean Sea. It has been declared a National Monument.
After this tour you will have time for a leisurely lunch before leaving Xativa for Gandia and the Ducal Palace. Whilst at the palace you will have a guided tour (in English).
Finally, we leave Gandia at about 6:00 for our return journey to Jalon.
This trip includes your coach travel, the tourist train to the Castle, entrance to the Castle and entrance and guided tour to the Ducal Palace. Gosh… what a bargain!
