A STAR IS BORN stars four-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper ('American Sniper,' 'American Hustle,' 'Silver Linings Playbook') and music superstar Lady Gaga, in her first leading role in a major film. It is a new version of the tragic love story famously done by Judy Garland and James Mason in 1954 and updated again by Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in 1976.
Bradley Cooper plays a seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers, and falls in love with, struggling artist Ally (Lady Gaga). She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer... until Jackson coaxes her into the spotlight. But as Ally's career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, and Jackson fights an ongoing battle with his internal demons. It was nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress awards at the Golden Globes, BAFTA and the Oscars.
