THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI is a darkly comic drama, which won the BAFTA for Best Picture. Months have passed without a culprit being found for her daughter’s murder, so Mildred Hayes (Frances McDormand) makes a bold move, painting three signs leading into her town with a controversial message directed at Chief of Police Willoughby (Woody Harrelson), When his second-in-command Officer Dixon (Sam Rockwell), with a penchant for violence, gets involved, the battle between Mildred and Ebbing’s law enforcement is only exacerbated. Frances McDormand won the Oscar and BAFTA for Best Actress whilst Sam Rockwell also won both awards for Best Supporting Actor.
