Saying Farewell to Simon Manley CMG– British Ambassador
A number of U3A Presidents, their partners, charity workers and volunteers from Aged Concern, MABs, The Samaritans and many others groups from across the Alicante region, said a fond farewell to Simon Manley on Tuesday at a reception in Alicante.
Simon has worked tirelessly to help expats during his 5 1/2 year years and has been recalled to London, until his next posting. In his speech he thanked all the associations for their work with the expat community and said that it would be extremely difficult job without us all.
Hugh Elliot will be taking up the posting from August.
