Voting Rights
Since Brexit the rules regarding voting rights have changed as British residents of Spain are no longer EU citizens. However, as part of an agreement during the Brexit negociations certain EU countries including Spain retained voting rights for British residents.
The intention to vote in local elections has to be registered on your padrón document, and if you have done this you should receive a letter towards the end of November 2022 confirming that you are registered on the Electoral Roll.
If you do not receive this letter and wish to vote in the local elections you willl need to come to the Town Hall between 1 December and 15 January to register your intention to vote with Maria Victoria
