Yes, it certainly was a night for the Vall del Pop Singers. We made our way to the Casa de Cultura in El Verger to celebrate a Musical Gala Evening. Along with Oliva U3A Choir, Chaplaincy Choir (Calpe), Sounds Familiar and Adagio, they waited their turn to perform.
On Wednesday 26th September the U3A Vall del Pop Wine Tasting group had their first tasting of the season at the Black Apple Bistro in Jalon, which intriguingly shares the premises with the florist “Heidi’s Flowers”. As the weather was showery our tables were set amongst the beautiful flowers. 31 members attended. A lively night at a new venue for us.
Regular exercise is good for your mind, mood and memory. No matter your age or current physical condition, joining a Keep Fit group is an enjoyable way of being active.
A bright sunny day, free parking, free entry, minimal security around the showjumping ground and Olympic Champions to talk to. Wonderful! Apart from someone’s sat nav getting a little confused…everyone made the 11 a.m. meet in good time. A strong waft of horsey stuff led us in the right direction. Time for a coffee. Brace yourselves... 3.30€ a cup, and rather lukewarm at that.
