On Thursday 9th December 32 of the Vall del Pop U3A gathered on a rather chilly Jalon Rastro site to await the coach to take them to the Neuvo Centre in Valencia. There was much excitement and some apprehension, as due to the pandemic this was the first time they had been able to participate in such a venture for two years. In compliance with covid regulations the number of places on the coach had been reduced in recognition of social distancing and covid passports were checked in readiness for them potentially being required in the shopping centre.
What a wonderful day we had on Wednesday 6th October when a number of U3A Vall del Pop members visited Guadalest and Altea. Of course we all had to follow the safety restrictions and we limited our coach numbers to 30 members, who all agreed that this helped them to feel safe.
A glorious sunny Friday, 31st May, saw some 70 U3A Vall del Pop members assembling at MasLaPau for a leisurely lunch on their terrace, nestling in a quiet enclosed valley just outside the village of Lliber. The venue was new to most of the members and comprises three beautiful stone buildings, with arched nayas, and an infinite pool, as the basis of their restaurant and Spa.
Yesterday, 11th April 2019 a coachload of U3A Vall del Pop members set off from Jalon to enjoy a day in Valencia. The weather was gorgeous and we had a choice of what to do, either the Oceanographic Centre, the Bioparc (Zoo) or to explore the city under your own steam.
