There was a good turnout at our second General Assembly back at the Polivalent in Murla last Thursday 4th November despite the wintry turn in the weather. The association business was quickly dispensed with reports that our membership numbers have continued to increase and the Groups are mostly all back up and running although some, such as Bridge are looking for more members.
Vall del Pop U3A is very proud to have achieved their 15th Anniversary.
In celebration, on Wednesday 13th October, 41 members attended a celebratory dinner at the Black Apple restaurant in Xalo, where the TCET team had arranged for a hog roast with Greek Meze for starters and a selection of delicious cakes as postre and entertainment by Matt Mason [Photo].
The U3A Vall del Pop need your help with donations for our Christmas General Assembly Raffle.
With the further relaxation of restrictions, on the size of social gatherings, the Vall del Pop U3A are very pleased to be able to announce that Murla Ayuntamiento has given permission for our future General Assemblies to be held again in their Polivalent hall. So please be sure to attend our ‘Coming Home’ GA on Thursday 7th October, when John Hopwood will be presenting a talk on the history of Woolworths and the Woolworth family.
Due to arrangements at El Cid the November and December General Assemblies will be held on the first Wednesday of the month.
We hope that these changes will not be too inconvenient for members and when we return to normal, we will review the situation.
